In my private personal training gym, my main passion is guiding people towards a healthier and balanced lifestyle. Every body is unique; each with thier own strengths and limitations. I tailor a custom functional training plan based on your history, limitations and fitness goals. I customize a plan for each client based around their initial consultation and specific fitness goals. As a Certified Personal Trainer, I offer a wide range of fitness & training modalities, with 10 years of experience and a lifetime as an athlete myself I have the knowledge to keep you safe and coach you to move properly. More than just getting you into shape, I will help keep you accountable and can also provide guidance with your nutrition, body composition measurements, improving endurance, building strength, rehabilitating from injury, and sports-specific training. You can choose from several, flexible time and day of week training options that fit your lifestyle and budget best.

I specialize in function circuit training; including resistance training with a focus on dynamic and isolated movements utilizing free weights that promote core stability and overall body strength. A combination of a personally tailored resistance training program as well as a healthy diet will have you seeing changes in your everyday life.

Do your body a favor and get your body moving. Health and fitness is as much about what your body looks like on the outside as it is about how it functions on the inside. Your heart is a muscle, too, and my conditioning circuit workouts will get your heart-rate up in as little as 5 minutes and keep it there for the entire session while improving your strength, balance and mobility. Your body will thank you for it in the long term!

Accountability & Fun

In my private training gym, you will receive 1 to 1 private or 1 to 2 semi-private sessions. There aren't others working out during your session, unless you want to bring a family member or a friend with you in a semi-private session. Either way, in my 30 minute high intensity training sessions, you will be sure to receive a tailored workout including; warm-up, mobility, coordination, strength, core, cardio all with you and your goals in mind. My workouts are constantly varied, making them fun and challenging your body with each session.

I absolutely love working out with Shauna! She is by far the best personal trainer I have ever worked with. 
She pushes me hard but also takes special circumstances into account. i.e knee injury etc.  
I really love that instead of using fancy equipment, she uses very clever exercises using free weights, bands etc. that makes you use your stabilizers as well and not just a specific muscle group. 
She is also very knowledgeable about nutrition.

I had considered a personal trainer before, but never acted upon it. When I found Shauna Harris of Stronger in GJ I decided to give it a try. I had quite a bit of weight to loose and I was not feeling good about my body. At our first workout, I broke down and cried because I couldn’t believe how much I had let myself go over the years. I was 48 at that first session and I wanted to become healthy and lean by age 50. Shauna was so kind and understanding and then  encouraged me to look forward and not behind me. I never looked back after that first session. Shauna gave me the life changing boost and motivation that I needed to stick with it. She was positive, encouraging and she pushed me. When I needed to adjust my workout for whatever reason, she would listen to what my needs were and met my needs. I progressed tremendously and am on target to reach my goal on my 50th birthday.  Shauna is knowledgeable and experienced. She is professional as well as creative and talented and able to design a custom program that is just the right fit for you! I highly recommend her. I think she’s the best! I have a hard time motivating myself especially when it comes to exercise. I get bored easily with workouts and often find a reason to procrastinate because of a challenging spine issue. Once I started working with Shauna I was hooked. ABOUT SHAUNA HARRIS

My family relocated to Grand Junction, CO in 1986, I graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 2001 and Mesa State College in 2006 with a degree in Business Administration. I have been raising my family with my husband and working as a business owner in our beautiful community for over 20 years. I am a runner, have played many sports, currently enjoy kickboxing and prioritizing resistance and mobility training to be my most energized and functional self. I always want to be able to move well, be active, strong and set a healthy and positive example for my three growing sons! My passion is to help people live the lifestyle they want, I love to see my family, friends and clients reach their highest potential to live a healthy, fit and balanced life!
